The Virtú Ambiental participated in the production of the award-winning documentary "Mar de Lixo", a partnership with the renowned filmmaker from Maranhão Taciano Brito that resulted in a cinematographic work of great social and environmental impact.
Dr. Isabella Pearce de Carvalho Monteiro acted as a technical consultant specializing in the central theme of the work – solid waste and its negative impacts on local communities – in addition to participating as one of the main interviewees throughout the documentary. Her academic and practical expertise contributed to the technical foundation of the narrative.
The film stands out for combining accurate technical information with a poetic and captivating approach, including interviews with leaders of the affected communities.
