Organization and Conduct of Public Hearings

Virtú Ambiental has consolidated expertise in organizing and conducting public hearings for projects that face significant social acceptance challenges. Our strategic approach, sensitive to local particularities, has demonstrated exceptional results in transforming scenarios of resistance into opportunities for constructive dialogue.

A notable example was the public hearing we conducted for Biomar in Tutóia, Maranhão, where the audience consisted mainly of local fishermen who were initially resistant to the project. Through our engagement methodology, we were able to conduct the process in such a way that the community transitioned from initial strong resistance to genuine interest in the project.

We also conducted multiple public hearings for SRN Mineração, a project facing significant resistance from potentially affected local communities. Our experience in challenging scenarios allows us to develop specific strategies for each context, promoting transparent dialogue and consensus building.
